2024- Pilgrim's Day Camp - Fall

Camp for kids age 5-13 during Thanksgiving Break. The Camp will run from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. for the week of Nov. 25th thru the 27th. Please have your child/ren to camp by 9:00am and they can be picked up any time before 5:30pm. The camp is full of activities with traditional, nontraditional, arts and crafts, table top games and much more. The child/ren must be self reliant as far as using the restroom. Each child/ren is required to bring two snacks and a lunch each day. We do a lot of running activities, so please wear suitable clothing.

2024 Sewing Classes for Beginners - Fall/Winter

In this program, “Sewing Classes for Beginners”, you will learn basic skills needed for understanding how to use your sewing machine. Your Instructor will explain and demonstrate fundamental machine and hand sewing techniques.

"Home for the Holidays" - These classes focus on creating home decor projects with a Holiday theme.

Course Objectives:
  • Using acquired skills to efficiently use their sewing machine
  • Proving basic instructional sewing techniques
  • Completing a final project during class

WITH THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS ON THE HORIZON, GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY!
 
***Participants will need to bring their own sewing machine and manuals to class.***

Dates: Saturday, November 2, December 7 and/or December 14
Ages: Adults 18 years and up
Times: 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: Coach Howell Activity Center
Cost: $50/per session plus basic sewing supplies (does not include the $3.00 service fee & credit card convenience fee)

2024-2025 Basketball Youth - Winter

The Oxford Park Commission sponsors a youth basketball program for kids age 7– 15 as of 9/1 of the current year (2024). Registration for this program will come to a close on Nov. 3. The 2024-2025 Youth Basketball Season Games will be played during the week, early January - late February, while practices begin in December. Fee for the program is $60-$65. There will be additional fees for service fee and credit card fee.

2025 Youth Cheerleading Basketball - Winter

The Oxford Park Commission's Youth Cheerleading program is for kids age 6 – 14. Participants must turn 6 years of age on or before September 1st of the current year. The Cheer teams will be lead by Parent volunteers. Please sign up for a volunteer role if you can coach. Cheer will have two seasons one cheering for Youth Flag Football and one cheering for Youth Basketball. Cheering will not be a competitive sport. They will be assigned a football and basketball team to cheer for.

Games will be played from early October until mid November for youth flag football and January until mid March for youth basketball. Game days will be Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evening.

Cost is $50/player if you are a new cheerleader or $25 if returning from flag football season.

Adaptive Chair Yoga
In Adaptive Chair Yoga we structure the class to fit your needs with the use of props that can include a chair, blocks, straps, or bolsters. We will cover all the basic yoga poses with an emphasis on breath and alignment to work on strength and mobility without stress or strain. The class can be done exclusively sitting on a chair, or you can use the chair for support in standing or kneeling poses. You choose the level of adaptation that is right for you.

The class will be on Tuesdays and Fridays in the Coach Howell Center in room 106/107 @ 10:30 am-11:30 am
