2025 Baseball Youth - Fall

OPC's Youth Fall Baseball is offered for kids 6-15. Participant's age is determined by 4/30 of the following year. The 2025 Season games will be played on Wednesday evenings, mid September to end of October/early November- practices begin in late August. 

This is a transitional program where the players will 'Move Up' to the age division they will play in the following Spring.

Cost is $45 per player. (This does not include the service fee & credit card convenience fee.)

Special requests for team placement are limited only to family members. Special circumstances related to coaching may be accommodated based on direct need. Each team will have a head coach, and that head coach can request one assistant coach for kid pitch (9 and older)/ two assistant coaches for coach pitch (6 to 8 year-olds) if needed, prior to the season.

2025 Soccer Youth-Fall

This registration is for 2025 Youth Fall Soccer. Our expected season start date is Aug. 25th (will be played on Mondays & Tuesdays) and will end around late November. OPC's youth recreation soccer season is for kids ages born in years 2021-2010.

Leagues will be "birth year based." That is to say players ages will be determined based on the year they were born in. (An example of how a birth year works is 2026-8U=2018.) This season is the beginning of our new athletic calendar, and the first of our two soccer seasons.

The Observation Clinic (only for 10U-16U) is expected to occur on Saturday, July 12th at mTrade Park. The times are TBD for now. The clinic is not a tryout, but it does help our staff form the teams and make sure they are balanced as best as they can be for the season.

Special requests for team placement are limited only to family members. Each team will have one head coach, and that head coach can request one assistant coach if needed, prior to the season. A reminder that no pets are allowed at mTrade Park during observation clinic, practices, or games.

2025 Volleyball Youth - Fall

Our Fall Volleyball program is offered for players ages 9-14 as of 9/1 of the current year. The 2025 FALL Season Games will be played only on THURSDAY evenings.

The season will run from August 28th to November 6th, on Thursday evenings at the Coach Howell Center or Oxford Activity Center.

The Observation Clinic is expected to occur on Tuesday, July 15th at the Oxford Activity Center, Court 4. Times for it are TBD right now. The clinic is not a tryout, but it does help our staff form the teams and make sure they are balanced as best as they can be for the season.

Practices are expected to begin in late July. Fee for the program is $60. There will be an additional $4.04 fee for service fee and credit card fee.

2025 League of Champions Swimming -Summer

The League of Champions is an adaptive swimming program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. One of the benefits of having a League of Champions is that it encourages the use of "buddies" for the players. The buddies assist the participants, but whenever possible, encourage them to do things for themselves. However, during swimming the participants must have a parent or sibling that can participate with them.

2025 Family Pool Membership

We are offering Family Pool memberships for the 2025 Summer Pool Season. There membership would allow the community to avoid paying a daily entry fee for themselves and a total of 4 members of their family.

*******These memberships are non-transferable and are only eligible to the immediate family members living in the same household listed on the membership*****

Family memberships are only eligible for daily use of the pool during the open swim hours. Memberships are not eligible to be used towards pool rentals at the OPC City Pool. 2025 Sewing Classes for Beginners - Summer

In this program, “Sewing Classes for Beginners”, you will learn basic skills needed for understanding how to use your sewing machine. Your Instructor will explain and demonstrate fundamental machine and hand sewing techniques.

2025 Fencing - Summer

Fencing is the Olympic sport of sword-fighting that teaches discipline, dexterity, and endurance. You use footwork and handwork to score touches on your opponent with the tip of your blade. There are three weapons in fencing: the Foil, Epee and Sabre. This session will include more bouting and blade drills.

2025 Karate - Summer

Master Woods Karate classes cater to men, women, and children with all different levels of experience. We are dedicated to developing your martial art skills. Elements that will be covered consist of: karate, kung-fu, Kobudo, stick fighting, sparring, self-defense, and bag work.

2025 Barton Outfitters Youth Fishing Camp - Summer

Barton Outfitters Youth Summer Fishing Camp is an immersive, instructive and practical fishing experience where youth ages 6-16 will learn about fishing ecology, fish biology, angling rules/ethics/regulations, fish identification, knot tying, basic rigging, casting, species targeting, lure making, trot line and gross fishing, and cleaning and cooking your catch. Participants will have the opportunity to fish each day for a variety of species at a local body of water including bass, catfish and crappie, culminating with two days of guided fishing on Sardis Lake with local licensed fishing guides. 

Day camp is our primary fishing camp offering and will largely follow the format of our 2024 camps. Depending on the bite and weather conditions, we will fish primarily at Sardis Lake or Enid Lake. Drop off will be communicated prior to the first day of camp (and adjusted, if necessary, by communication via text). Day camp is run by the CPR and First aid-Certified, Licensed Professional Fishing Guides of Barton Outfitters. We also employ CPR and First Aid certified counselors who are subject to stringent background checks. Campers will receive a hat, fishing rod and fillets of their catch, ready for the table. On poor weather days, we will meet at Lamar Park/Lake Patsy.

All participants will receive a rod/reel combo and hat.

For the seventh straight year, we will be conducting an adult kickball league for the Oxford Sport & Social Club. The games will be held at mTrade Park in Quad A on Tuesday nights only, starting June 17th. The league will be co-ed and open to ages 16 and above. Rule number one is "Let's Have Fun."

- This league was founded on and is guided by three main principles; being a great excuse to get adults outside and have fun, helping them expand their social network to make new friends, and giving back to the Oxford community.

- Operating under the guide of an adult kickball league, the rules mimic that of 4th grade recess; permitting kickball enthusiasts, of all athletic abilities to play. This league provides a great excuse to get off the couch, kick a ball around, meet new friends, and of course laugh at your old ones.

-There is no limit to the size of your team and everyone gets to play!

2025 T25 BASKETBALL CAMP - June 26&27

Coached by the Best High School Coaches in the State of Mississippi, Hosted by coach Kermit Davis. 

Tomorrow's 25 is an innovative coaching fellowship, presented by the Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC), the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA), and the University of Mississippi’s School of Education (UM SOE), that annually selects and invests in 25 future leaders for our state in the area of high school and middle school athletics. T25 Basketball Camp is an extension of this fellowship and is made up of alumni basketball coaches from this fellowship.

Kermit Davis, Jr. Bio: 
Kermit Davis, Jr., a former head college basketball coach who led six different programs over a 25-year period while amassing just under 500 wins, is one of Mississippi's greatest ambassadors for basketball in the Magnolia state. Davis played and started his coaching career at Mississippi State and finished his career as the head coach of the Ole Miss Rebels, where he was named the 2019 SEC Coach of the Year.

Dr. Hunter Taylor Bio: 
Dr. Hunter A. Taylor is an Associate Professor at the University of Mississippi and founder of the Excellence in Coaching Project. The Project’s signature program, Tomorrow’s 25, is currently in year three of existence and has an annual goal of selecting and investing 25 high school and middle school coaches from across the state who have demonstrated a positive, long-term commitment to being a leader for amateur athletics in Mississippi.

2025 North MS Wrestling Club - Spring/Summer

The objective of the class will be to introduce participants to the sport of wrestling and improve in a fun and exciting environment. Improve the individual's agility, strength, and self-confidence. Wrestling is a great way for your child to build character and learn self-defense. This program strives to build champions on and off the mat.

We will be focusing on folk-style wrestling.

2025 Basketball Adult 3-on-3 - Summer

The Oxford Park Commission adult basketball league is intended to create a balance of recreational activity in an atmosphere that fosters sportsmanship and fair play in a fun, safe and educational environment. All games will be played according to Mississippi High School Activities Association basketball rules. Players must be at least 18 years of age or older at the time of registration for the league. A team captain must register all teams and any fees required. There is a credit card transaction fee and service fee attached to all orders put in place by our website provider Sports Connect.

No players will be allowed to play unless they are on the official team roster. Any team caught playing with illegal players will result in a forfeit. The illegal player must be identified prior to the end of the game.

Quality developmental gymnastics and tumbling programs to the youth of the community in a wholesome and nurturing environment.

Beginner: learning handstands, cartwheels, and building core strength to hold their weight while pushing their head off the ground in an upside-down "bridge" position.
