Pollinator Hike at Sardis Lake

See the area around Sardis Lake in a new way with the help of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This is a guided hike that will last an hour and a half, with the focus on the plants and trees that help pollinators, and how to incorporate planting them at home.

According to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, a study showed that some wild pollinators are declining. Declines in wild pollinators may be a result of habitat loss and degradation. In the United States, honey bees directly or indirectly contributed to over $19 billion of crops in 2019.
