2025 Pickleball Paddles in the Park - May

Paddles in the Park Pickleball Tournament will be a Round Robin tournament. It will be held at Avent Park (102 Park Dr, Oxford, MS 38655). Avent Park has 12 Pickleball courts painted on 4 tennis courts. We will be playing with the PENN 40 outdoor ball for 3.5 and below and the Franklin X40 for advance players. In case of a rain out we will move play indoors to the Oxford Activity Center.

Sunday, May 4: Mixed Doubles 12:00 pm warm up & 1:00 pm Start

2025 Coed Recreational Lacrosse - Spring

Introductory Lacrosse. No experience required!
Learning, fun, and playing are the guiding principles of the program.

This program does not require any equipment beyond the stick and ball and mouthguard. We play with a soft lacrosse ball.

Spring lacrosse will focus on small-sided, non-contact, games with instruction mixed in.
 
Coaches will break players into teams at each meeting working to mix and match abilities. Only two-thirds of a team’s players are allowed on offense/in the offensive end at one time. For example, if playing 6 v6, only 4 players may be on offense at any one time.
 
Game length will be flexible based on how quickly we complete the clinic portion of each Sunday’s meeting. It is our goal to use one-half of each meeting for our games.

Ages: 7-14
Dates: Sundays, March 30; April 6, 13,27; May 4,11 (There will be no session on April 20)

Equipment Needed: Participants must provide their own Lacrosse stick and ball (Please note that there are different sticks for boys/girls)

Dancing with a twist is a cardio-dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. People of all ages, shapes, and sizes are encouraged to attend this class. You do not have to be a great dancer to attend just be ready to “shake what your mama gave you”.

2025 LLO Adaptive Chair Yoga April-June

Adaptive Chair Yoga
In Adaptive Chair Yoga we structure the class to fit your needs with the use of props that can include a chair, blocks, straps, or bolsters. We will cover all the basic yoga poses with an emphasis on breath and alignment to work on strength and mobility without stress or strain. The class can be done exclusively sitting on a chair, or you can use the chair for support in standing or kneeling poses. You choose the level of adaptation that is right for you.

2025 Superhero Training Day - April 28th

Welcome to Superhero Training Day!

Date: Monday April 28th
Time: 5-7pm - Come and go as you please.
Ages: 4-10 - If you have a child older than 10 please email me and we can talk about getting them signed up or not.

We will have different stations and photo opportunities. The stations do not have to be completed in any certain order.

When you show up you will receive a bag with items in it to help finish your stations.

2025 North MS Wrestling Club - Spring/Summer

The objective of the class will be to introduce participants to the sport of wrestling and improve in a fun and exciting environment. Improve the individual's agility, strength, and self-confidence. Wrestling is a great way for your child to build character and learn self-defense. This program strives to build champions on and off the mat.

2025 Sewing Classes for Beginners - Spring

In this program, “Sewing Classes for Beginners”, you will learn basic skills needed for understanding how to use your sewing machine. Your Instructor will explain and demonstrate fundamental machine and hand sewing techniques.

Course Objectives:
  • Using acquired skills to efficiently use their sewing machine
  • Proving basic instructional sewing techniques
  • Completing a final project during class

BEGINNING QUILTING

In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of both hand and machine quilting. Creating patterns and layouts, along with understanding the various types of quilting techniques will be covered.

In this class, students will learn how to stitch basic garment alterations, such as hemming, fixing tears, correctly sewing on buttons, taking in and letting out seams, etc.

SIMPLE PILLOWS & APRONS

2025 Baseball Youth - Spring

Our Spring Baseball program is offered for players ages 5-15 as of 4/30 of the current year. The 2025 Season games will be played during the week (M/Tu/Th), late April- early June - practices begin in early April. 

Fee for the program is $50-$65. There will be additional fees for service fee and credit card fee.

Baseball Observational Clinic: TBD

Special requests for team placement are limited only to family members. Special circumstances related to coaching may be accommodated based on direct need. Each team will have a head coach, and that head coach can request one assistant coach for kid pitch (9 and older)/ two assistant coaches for coach pitch (t-ball to 8 year-olds) if needed, prior to the season.
