MHSAA state tennis championships at John Leslie Courts

The John Leslie Tennis Courts will be very busy April 22-26 for the annual MHSAA tennis state championships. Classes 1, 3A & 5A will be playing both team and individual matches at the complex during the dates.

Team championships will be played on Monday, April 22 while the individual tournament is slated to begin on Tuesday, April 23. Additional information on the tournament can be found at the MHSAA's website: https://www.misshsaa.com/2024/03/27/2024-tennis-championships/

Below is a message that is being sent out to our community as it relates to traffic and parking in and around the complex.
—————

Dear Oxford Community,

The Mississippi High School Activities Association tennis state championships will return to the John Leslie Courts April 22-26. This annual tournament has seen well over 500 participants take part during the week, and we expect another large field this coming year.

The Oxford Park Commission is highly encouraging parents with children who attend Central Elementary and Oxford Intermediate School to please find an alternate place to pick up children during the week of the tournament. The traffic in and around the complex on Price and Molly Barr will be greatly increased. All of the parking lots around the courts are expected to be full. This also includes the Stone Center parking lot and Stone Park, which serves as auxiliary parking area for spectators.

We love hosting your children at the centers each day, but we care about their safety and we want to ask for your help during this championship week.
