2024 Youth Cheerleading Basketball - Summer

The Oxford Park Commission's Youth Cheerleading program is for kids age 6 – 14. Participants must turn 6 years of age on or before September 1st of the current year. The Cheer teams will be lead by Parent volunteers. Please sign up for a volunteer role if you can coach. Cheer will have four seasons two cheering for Youth Flag Football and two cheering for Youth Basketball. Cheering will not be a competitive sport. They will be assigned a football and basketball team to cheer for.


Cost is $50/player if you are a new cheerleader or $25 if returning from flag football season.

2024 (Pre)Team USAG Silver Gymnastics - Summer

Quality developmental gymnastics and tumbling programs to the youth of the community in a wholesome and nurturing environment. The programs start with ages 5-up.

Advanced: mastered cartwheels, round offs, and has strength to bridge and kick over by themselves to work backhand springs, tucks, layouts 1/2 and full. All classes include some work in basic USAG requirements for balance beam, vault, and uneven bars.

Team and Pre-team: for kids that can't get enough gymnastics and spend a good bit of their time outside the gym upside down.

Ages: 5+
Dates: May 14-8/29 (Flexible 2 week, 4 week, 6 week, 8 week or 10 week option - come to any of the 10+ offered weeks as your schedule allows)

2024 OPC Basketball Development Camp - Summer

OPC Basketball Development Camp is a instructional program that is open for boys and girls ages 8 to 14. It will be led by Brian Rucker with the Tupelo Saints Basketball Association. OPC Basketball Development Camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game, dribbling, passing, shooting, while also incorporating the strategy of basketball. OPC Basketball Development Camp will be held on Monday and Tuesday Afternoons in the Coach Howell Center.

2024 Sport & Social - Adult Volleyball - Summer

This year we will begin a Adult Volleyball league that will consist of co ed team members ages 16 and older. Games will be played with teams of 6v6 with a maximum of 10 team members. This league will begin May 15th and run through June 12th. Each game will consist of 3 sets of 15, the team has to win by 2 points. Games will be played from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with one to two games a night each Wednesday night of the week.

2024 Fit-N-Fun Gymnastics - Summer

Fit-N-Fun child-sized equipment allows children to discover color shape and movement while developing imagination, coordination, and motor skills. Children's self-confidence grows as their physical fitness level rises.

2024 Summer Day Camps - Summer

Camps are for kids age 5-13 during Summer Break. This year, the camps will run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The first session will be May 28th - May 31st, the second session will be June 8th - June 28th, and the third session will be July 8th - July 31st. The camp is full of activities with field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, table top games and much more. We will have lunch at the Oxford Intermediate School. If you have a picky eater you may let them bring lunch. Breakfast is provided if your child is here by 7:45am and lunch is provided as well. Each kid is required to bring two snacks a day. We do a lot of running activities, so please wear suitable clothing, as well as tennis shoes. You will receive an email with protocols and monthly calendars a week before camp starts.


(If you aren't able to register your child online, we are offering an additional opportunity starting Monday, March 25th at the Coach Howell Activity Center at starting 8 a.m.)

2024 Basketball Youth - Summer

The Oxford Park Commission sponsors a youth basketball program for kids age 7– 15 as of 9/1/2023. Registration for this program will come to a close on May 5. The 2024 Youth Basketball Summer Season Games will be played during the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday), early June - late July, while practices begin in May. Fee for the program is $45. There will be additional fees for service fee and credit card fee.

2024 North MS Wrestling Club - Spring/Summer

The objective of the class will be to introduce participants to the sport of wrestling and improve in a fun and exciting environment. Improve the individual's agility, strength, and self-confidence. Wrestling is a great way for your child to build character and learn self-defense. This program strives to build champions on and off the mat.

We will be focusing on folk-style wrestling.

Dancing with a twist is a cardio-dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. People of all ages, shapes, and sizes are encouraged to attend this class. You do not have to be a great dancer to attend just be ready to “shake what your mama gave you”.
