Plans to maintain the FNC Tennis Center’s reputation as the state’s top public outdoor facility will continue this fall with court resurfacing. Starting on Thursday, November 3, construction crews hired to perform the improvements will begin in work. Portions of the center will be closed, but there will always be courts available for the public to use.
The Oxford Park Commission is asking those that play on the courts to be mindful of the work being completed. The entire project is projected to be completed before 2023. Courts will be worked on in stages, and those could change depending on weather.
FNC Tennis Center was expanded to 20 outdoor courts in 2013, and this is the first re-surfacing project since that grand opening.
