Pollinator Hike at Sardis Lake

Join the crew from OPC Outdoors as we partner with Shea Staten of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for our second Pollinator Hike. It will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Learn about the important role of pollinators in our ecosystem. According to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, a study showed that some wild pollinators are declining. Declines in wild pollinators may be a result of habitat loss and degradation. In the United States, honey bees directly or indirectly contributed to over $19 billion of crops in 2019.

This is the second nature hike that has focused on pollinators. Our last one was full, and we can have up to 20 sign up for this offering. Cost is just $5. For more information on details, visit our Currently Registering section.
