If you have any questions about the Adult Athletic Program please contact

Jeff Wells.

The Oxford Park Commission offers five sports for adults in the Oxford area.  These sports are Softball, Soccer, Basketball, Flag Football, and Whiffleball.  These sport programs are designed to provide a means for recreation, while at the same time, remaining safe and competitive.

Over 800 men and women participate in the Adult Athletics program yearly.  These men and women are the backbone of the program because without them, we know that the Adult Athletics program would not be the success that it is.

Registration is for teams only.  Teams can register by completing a Team Registration Card and paying the Team Registration Fee.  Also, all players must fill out and sign an Adult Sports Registration Form, which are available online.  At the end of every registration period, there is a mandatory coaches meeting.  In this meeting, schedules are handed out and rules and information are discussed.  This is also an excellent opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the rules of the sport you are participating in.

The Oxford Park Commission is committed to having enjoyable sport programs that are suitable for families and citizens may come to and watch.  Therefore the Oxford Park Commission has established the following Rules of Conduct for Adult Sports:

  1. Foul language and/or verbal harassment of any official, player, observer, or O.P.C. employee will not be tolerated.

First Offense – Ejection from game followed by a one game suspension of the next game.

Second Offense – Expulsion from the league.

Third Offense – Banishment from all O.P.C. activities for one (1) year.

Fourth Offense – Banishment from all O.P.C. activities indefinitely.

  1. Fighting will not be tolerated in any situation.

First Offense – Expulsion from the league.

Second Offense – Banishment from all O.P.C. activities.

Third Offense – Banishment from all O.P.C. activities indefinitely.

The use of alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs on park property is prohibited.  Any one caught using alcohol or drugs

will not be allowed to participate in any OPC sponsored event.  Violators can/will be prosecuted according to city/state

laws.

If a player or team is determined to be a continuous disciplinary problem, action may be taken which could result in the

expulsion from the league with no reimbursement of registration fees.
