Part Time/Seasonal Positions Minimum Qualifications: 15 years of age preferred; knowledgeable in the rules of soccer; USSF Certification preferred; previous officiating experience preferred Pay: $8.00 - $18.00 per game General Statement of Duties: Officiate youth (age 4-16) soccer games; represent Park Commission in a positive, professional manner; handle game-related problems with players, coaches or fans. Days/Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings (5:00 pm - 8:30 pm) and/or Saturday mornings (9:00 am - 1:00 pm); Fall Season runs September - October; Spring Season runs February - April. Youth Baseball Officials & Scorekeepers Minimum Qualifications: 15 years of age preferred; knowledgeable in the rules of baseball; previous officiating experience preferred Pay: $10.00 - $25.00 per game (depending on age & position) General Statement of Duties: Officiate youth (age 6-14) baseball games; represent Park Commission in a positive, professional manner; handle game-related problems with players, coaches or fans. Days/Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings (5:00 pm - 10:00 pm) and/or Saturday mornings (9:00 am - 1:00 pm); Season runs April-June. Youth Softball Officials & Scorekeepers Minimum Qualifications: 16 years of age; knowledgeable in the rules of ASA fastpitch softball; previous officiating experience preferred; must attend ASA rules clinic & become registered ASA umpire Pay: $8.00 - $18.00 per game (depending on age & position) General Statement of Duties: Officiate youth (age 4-16) softball games; represent Park Commission in a positive, professional manner; handle game-related problems with players, coaches or fans. Days/Hours: Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings (5:00 pm - 10:00 pm) and/or Saturday mornings (9:00 am - 1:00 pm); Season runs April-June. Adult Softball Officials & Scorekeepers Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of age; knowledgeable in the rules of ASA slowpitch softball; previous officiating experience preferred; must attend ASA rules clinic & become registered ASA umpire Pay: $8.00 - $18.00 per game General Statement of Duties: Officiate adult (age 16-up) softball games; represent Park Commission in a positive, professional manner; handle game-related problems with players, coaches or fans. Days/Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings (6:00 pm - 10:00 pm); Spring Season runs April-June/July, Fall Season runs September-October Minimum Qualifications: 21 years of age preferred; demonstrated skill in a leisure pursuit of interest to others and willingness to share that skill through teaching; teaching experience preferred but not mandatory Pay: Hourly, dependent upon skill and class popularity Responsibilities: Instruct class in a leisure skill; dependable, conscientious, enthusiastic instructors needed for year-around leisure education program. Days/Hours: Classes are generally at the convenience of the instructor and are scheduled into time slots conducive to the activity and to the attraction of students. Classes typically last four to six weeks and meet at the same time each week. However, some classes are single meetings. There is considerable flexibility depending upon the activity. |
